CPCS Vendor Services

ARC holds active CPCS vendor status and supports attorneys handling indigent defense matters through the Indigent Court Cost Act process in Massachusetts.

How It Works

Approved support at no cost to attorney or client.

ARC provides support for indigent defense cases through CPCS vendor services and the Indigent Court Cost Act process under G.L. c. 261 §§ 27A–27G. Attorneys can request support by filing a Motion for Funds. Once funding is approved, ARC provides the approved services without additional charges to the attorney or client.

The CPCS Process

The Motion for Funds process allows defense counsel to request court-approved funding for investigation, expert, language, medical, social work, and other support services in indigent defense matters. ARC works with attorneys to identify what services are needed and performs authorized work once approval is received.

1

Attorney Identifies Need

Counsel identifies the investigation, expert, language, medical, social work, or support service needed for the case.

2

Motion for Funds

Counsel files the required request for court-approved funding under G.L. c. 261 §§ 27A–27G.

3

ARC Performs Work

Once approved, ARC completes the authorized work and provides attorney-ready support and documentation.
